Welcome to Camp Edmund Salla

The term ski-in ski-out can confidently be used to describe Camp Edmund Salla. The nearest slope is just 30 meters away, and the ski lift is only 70 meters from the doorstep. The area will feature compact, high-quality, and cleverly designed studio apartments that serve as the perfect base for unforgettable adventures in snowy landscapes.

23 efficiently designed apartments will be built right next to the competition slope, where everything you need is within easy reach. The black FIS competition slope, suitable even for national alpine teams, ensures that challenges are never in short supply. Meanwhile, the deep powder snow in Salla’s backcountry attracts freeriders.

Sheltered by the fell wilderness, there are 160 km of cross-country ski trails, 42 kilometers of which are illuminated. Along the trails, you can not only enjoy stunning scenery but also stop for a hot drink at a trail café or feed Siberian jays from the twisted pine branches.

Whether you're looking for your own place in Lapland, a remote work opportunity, or a great ski holiday home, Camp Edmund has what you need.

Edmund´s Story

According to our knowledge, Edmund was not a large man in stature, but something great burned within him — an eternal restlessness that drove him ever further from mapped routes. He wasn't interested in just the journey, but in the feeling: the moment when a person blends into the landscape, breathing the same air as the ice and the forest.

In the late 1920s, Edmund heard rumors of a place far to the east — on the edge of Europe, a land the Finns called Salla. It was said to be a place where winters lasted for months and the snow whispered the forest's secrets.

A century later, that same fell still rises proudly. Salla Ski Resort is not just about slopes and lifts. It is part of a continuum — part of something greater. It still carries with it the quiet history of Stone Age skis, the excitement of the 1937 races, and the glow of Edmund’s campfire.
